Irrigation Service Technicians & Apprentices

We are currently hiring for three distinct levels:
1. Licensed Service Technicians You are a pro who knows the ins and outs of irrigation systems. You can diagnose complex wiring issues, handle controller upgrades, and lead a crew with efficiency.
Requirement: Valid State Irrigation License and a clean driving record.
2. Experienced Technicians You’ve been in the field, you know how to handle a shovel and a wrench, and you understand the basics of hydraulics and system layout. You’re looking for a company that values your experience and offers a better work-life balance.
3. Apprentices (Entry-Level) No experience? No problem. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a mechanical mindset, and a desire to learn. We will sponsor your enrollment in the State Apprenticeship Program, allowing you to earn a paycheck while you learn a specialized trade and work toward your professional license.
What You’ll Do
Perform spring startups, mid-season inspections, and winterizations.
Troubleshoot and repair valves, heads, and pipes.
Program smart controllers and ensure water efficiency for clients.
Maintain a clean, organized service truck and represent Tradewind professionally on-site.
For Apprentices: Assist lead techs while learning the technical requirements of the trade.

We are currently seeking candidates for the following position:
Position: P-1 Licensed Plumber (Permanent Part-Time, Starting Spring 2026)
Location: Bristol, CT & Surrounding Service Area
Job Summary: TradeWind Irrigation is looking for a P-1 Licensed Plumber to join our team in a stable, permanent part-time role. This position is responsible for handling all plumbing-related aspects of our irrigation systems, ensuring all work meets our company's high standards and state code.
This is a unique, flexible position offering consistent weekday hours and lucrative compensation. It is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned, licensed professional—such as a plumber who is nearing retirement or is retired—who wishes to apply their expertise and earn a significant supplemental income.
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid State of Connecticut P-1 Unlimited Plumbing Contractor license.
Proven experience and a strong understanding of plumbing codes and best practices.
Professional, reliable, and able to work independently.
Strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Schedule & Compensation:
Hours: This is a stable, part-time position requiring approximately 2 to 3 hours every weekday.
Compensation: This is a very lucrative position offering highly competitive pay.
